Josephine careers

Josephine is an Oakland based company helping home cooks make money by selling food out of their home kitchens. We think that the cooks of our society deserve better than the current food industry and have built a platform to power their dream job: feeding loved ones, cooking their family favorites, making meaningful income, out of the comfort and familiarity of their homes and their communities.

We've seen success so far by working with cooks who have been excluded from professional opportunities (80% women, 40% immigrants, 35%stay-at-home parents, and 48% folks of color). Cooking at home is the most accessible, impactful, and untapped source of income for these people. Often they're feeding busy families in their residential neighborhoods - working parents who stress about food every day, and are relieved to build a trusting relationship with a neighbor who can help.
