Jona is a technology company using AI to reveal the relationship between the microbiome and personal health. Our AI can input a person’s microbiome composition and, by having the AI read the entirety of the scientific and clinical literature, both interpret the health implications of the person’s microbiome and also provide guidance on the foods, lifestyle modifications and medications that can improve their microbiome and health, while providing fully sourced corresponding scientific evidence. We believe that rapid advances in microbiome science, use of generative AI to interpret complex testing and changes to the consumer health landscape have created a new opportunity to serve the 60-70 million Americans suffering from digestive problems. Although we are starting with digestive health, our combination of deep microbiome sequencing, large language models (AI) and repeated engagement with individuals enables us to quickly expand to address challenges in autoimmune conditions, obesity, mental health, Parkinson's, liver disease and more.

Jona is an early stage company founded by Leo Grady, CEO in Residence at Breyer Capital, who is internationally recognized for his work to deliver AI in healthcare for nearly 20 years at pioneering bay area startups (HeartFlow), multinational medical companies (Siemens) and, most recently, as CEO of Paige.ai in New York.
