Intellicon's smart traffic signal solution is based on sensing vehicles at the intersection at an extended range of up to 1000 m'. These features enable to measure queues, delays and traffic signal performance at regular and congested situations. The information enables to optimize traffic signal operation based on real traffic conditions and preferred traffic management policy.
All this features are not available at current technologies which have limited sensing range of 70 m' and don't have the capacity to measure delays, queues and analyse traffic signal performance.
Municipalities and transportation agencies are searching for these solutions as current technologies fail to deliver the required features and information required to manage traffic signals efficiently.
