Instrumental.ly is a fun video maker and music video editor app for video creation of hip hop and afro-music. The first prototype was released in October 2016, and the official version was launched in February of this year.
Through the app, users can create up to 90 second videos and choose an instrumental to accompany them, use different speed vocal options (auto-tune, reverb, distortion) and add A/R technology, filters and effects. The app also allows users to browse popular users' video content, trending songs, instrumentals and hashtags.
The app is the only app in the world focusing on hip hop music and culture that is using AR technology. The app also serves as an alternative to expensive music studios and recording equipment for hip hop artists
