Our current goals are to optimize data capture for our wineries, which includes storing their extensive analytics, integrating with hardware sensing companies, modeling complex winemaking activities, tracking costs, and furthering our slick digital work order platform. Some problems we work through: How do we mix and track wine in a digital platform? How should we calculate the final cost of a finished wine, especially when it might be a blend of dozens of fruit sources when it’s finally bottled? How do we model that in code? How we can efficiently aggregate large sets of data across a winery, so that it can be quickly consumed by world class winemakers? How do we integrate with all the other data sources in the industry? We develop clever ways to integrate with other wine companies, because wineries collect data from a variety of sources -- external labs that perform chemical analysis on wines, handheld analysis meters, automated tank sensors, etc. InnoVint is the hub for aggregating these types of integrations (amongst many other types of data capture). We’ve solved many of these problems already and we’re eager to tell you all about them… but also excited to hear your perspective on how best to implement! One of the most exciting possibilities of where the company is going is intelligently analyzing trends in our rich dataset. This could potentially be massively game changing as we grow to store more and more of the world’s winemaking data -- from weather patterns for a particular growing year, the analytics that were measured on grapes across regions, to analytics performed on the wine throughout the aging process, and the final tasting score achieved by the bottled wine. There is massive amounts of potential in this space that no one else is doing. We are so excited to get there -- and we will one day!
