- Our mission - Our mission is to make people read more often, longer and in more places, with a superior reading experience. In our busy lives it's essential to take time for ourselves. To have a place, a mode, in which you work on your personal wellbeing by diving into other people's ideas, feelings and surroundings. Reading deeply, or immersing yourself in a story for a longer period of time and with more focus, whether this is to learn or to experience, is perhaps the easiest way to get into that mode. - Learning from readers (and from books) - Our first goal is: to understand readers. We already know that people want to read more. The better we understand how and why people read, what they run into and what makes them happy, the more we can improve our app. The books themselves are another point of view. We strive to understand how they work, in an algorithmic way, so that we can make connections between structure, content and reading behaviour. - The best reading-app - That is our second goal: to develop the best reading app in the world. Intelligent, empathetic software that helps you read the way you prefer, and harmoniously interweaves with your life. In practice: Immer helps you to pick the right book and helps to find moments and places for yourself. Immer makes books more accessible by presenting them better. - Reading more and deeper - But we will only be successful if we reach our third goal: when everyone learns more and has more fun. When everyone is touched, comforted and inspired. When everyone sympathizes more with others.
