Housecall utilizes an unlimited PTO policy. Does that mean 365 days off a year? Not exactly. But it does mean that if you need a mental health day or a trip to see your family then we want you to have the flexibility to do so.

Culture clubs

We have formed an employee-run culture club that includes groups like the party planning committee, the community committee and the wellness committee to lead all kinds of exciting activities for our teams.

Workshops and lunch & learns

We have hosted a variety of workshops for our employees that have included topics like financial wellness, growth mindset and how to have tough conversations at work.

Employee-run groups

We have a hiking group that has explored all over San Diego, a Spin group that frequents a spin studio up the street and a meditation group that meet twice a week for a mid-day meditation sesh. Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Management training

Our SVP of People leads an extensive management training program for any employee that is in a managerial seat. The course is 8 weeks long and is inclusive of topics like feedback, situational leadership, decision making and many more.

Career conversations

Our managers are trained on doing quarterly career conversations with all employees to discuss their growth and development both in and outside of work. We are here to offer guidance with whatever career path you choose.

Who knew

Who Knew: this happens once a month where any employee can volunteer to get up and present to the company on something they are passionate about outside of work. It's an amazing chance to get to learn something new about your coworkers!

Shenanigans

Our People team do pop-up "shenanigans" at random times. This could be anything from a nacho bar, cereal bar, root beer floats, you name it- they've done it! One time they even brought in 1,000 chicken nuggets per the request of our CEO!
