The horse industry is stuck in the 20th century with paper invoices and checks or outdated software that is not relevant in today's market. HorseLinc is disrupting the $50 billion horse services industry by providing the service provider with an easier way to invoice, track service history, and get paid while integrating with the horse owner side of the equation to easily request, pay for, and track services their horses have received. The average horse has over 12 different service providers and coordinating those services and paying each of them in a different way, for example a paper check in an envelope for the braider, an emailed invoice to mail a check to the farrier, a paper invoice left at the barn for the farrier, can get overwhelming and time consuming. The horse industry is unique in that the person paying for the services is rarely there when the service is rendered. HorseLinc is the culmination of years of saying “There has got to be a better way to do this”. I have worked in the horse industry braiding horse hair for competition, and have been an owner hiring service providers and have been frustrated for years in the antiquated process of coordinating services and getting paid as a braider, or paying my service providers as an owner. The services portion of the horse industry in the United States is $50 Billion, which is less than 20% of the global market. Our target market for growth are horse trainers with 20- 60 horses in their care. HorseLinc has no direct competitors that coordinate for both horse managers and service providers, however there is barn management software (Barn Manager, Stable Secretary) and general accounting software (QuickBooks) that are sporadically utilized within the industry.
