What I like most about Holmwood's is the responsibilities you get and the freedom to do your job. And the team of course, where everybody works together and gets along great! No managers micro-managing you, the boss sits in the same room and will do anything to help you get your job done. Because we are a small team, we are all working for the same goal (making the best product) and do not have separate departments with their own agenda. This also means a very close relationship between developers and the end users. If the customer has a request for a new feature, the sales or support people can just walk over to us and discuss this. Sometimes we can implement it straight away, other times we add it to the backlog or suggest an alternative solution that is already available. This also works the other way around, so we as developers can immediately ask feedback about what users are interested in.
