I built the HEMS product as a response to my wife’s problem with the kids leaving appliances ON all the time –even when they left the house. The solution has evolved some –focus more on building solutions, but the underlying premise is the same – create an artificial intelligent smart grid within the home or building for managing and allocating energy by profiling occupant usage and habits.
