Hello Pal is a social language learning app that let's you chat with people all over the world, in their own language, in minutes.

Interested in conversing with Chinese people in Chinese even though you don't know a word of Chinese? No problem! In fact, you could even chat with your Chinese friend, in Japanese, when neither of you have a clue how to speak Japanese.

The emphasis of this app is more on the social side rather than language learning, but we believe that, ironically, this makes it an even more effective language learning app for most people, because people will more likely persist with using the language in the course of making new friends.

You simply find a phrase you want to say, listen to the guide audio, repeat it as you record it, and send it off. Powerful translation engines also allow you to say virtually anything you want.
