Data Scientist / Researcher In this role, knowing how to take a team from day zero to completion of a problem and/or project will be critical to your success. You will collaborate closely with the Harmony Analytics™ team, world-renowned research institutions and various NGOs, along with our team of product developers, analysts, and IT developers. You and the team will research and apply statistical models, machine learning, statistical algorithms, and data science techniques to various ESG measures to support the development of new solutions. This is a hands-on, self-starting role and the successful candidate will be able to hustle to strict deadlines, be humble in the face of feedback from senior and junior team members, prioritize attention to detail and create a culture of raising the bar continuously. Responsibilities Include: Understanding how our data and information will be connected to our software system Working with our team to create the agenda and goals that will need to be executed to complete research projects Having a startup mentality and being mindful of our goals and time constraints Work closely with engineering and product management teams to build tools and applications on our unique analytics platform to effectively generate and develop insights into algorithms and calculations Work closely with our associates at Universities across the country, leading the way for progressive research studies and the development of new techniques Calibrate statistical models through carefully designed experiments Develop the standards and document the growing list of decision making and machine learning algorithms Acquiring a deep understanding of our business problems and apply critical and creative thinking to appropriate methods and solutions Effectively interpret results and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences including senior leadership
