HardHats careers
HardHats was launched in late 2019 and tested in the construction job market with Coplex, a venture builder in Phoenix, AZ. We built a lean MVP and acquired customers, candidates, and started generating revenue quickly. We've made partnerships with Cemex the largest cement distributor in the world, Heavy Equipment Colleges of America, Offerpad in the renovation space, Westroc, and S&H Grading to just name a few.
We conducted three experiments and solutions successfully and saw the largest opportunity through lending crews to other contractors around the country to fill the manpower gap and delays construction companies experience.
What differentiates HardHats in the market is we focus more on the problems that workers, crews, and contractors face and build our product around them. We partnered with Outcode Software in Utah and we've built a prototype with the company. We've identified that placing crews rather than individuals will save contractors 50% of their human capital cost by sharing crews and having quality workers on-demand which is one of the biggest pain points in the industry. With not enough people or quality to hire our solution solves many problems and fills a significant gap. We've validated the solution with a contractor in Wisconsin that signed up to lend his crew to another contractor anywhere in the country as long as he could keep the crew employed during the company season changes.
We realized it took the same amount of money and time to place one person and it would make more sense to increase our profit by placing entire crews on-demand which increases our margins 5x more.
We discovered that we could disrupt the staffing firms with our technology by building a marketplace for contractors to manage manpower, labor shortages, and project delays in the commercial, residential, and private construction space by enabling them to share their crews with each other.
