Hairstory is dedicated to helping people rethink everything about hair in a world where the old rules don’t apply. We are still relatively small today, but growing quickly and we have big ambitions. Our hero product, New Wash, is neither a shampoo nor a conditioner. It both cleans and conditions hair with aloe, essential oils and fatty alcohols, and without using any detergent – the enemy of good hair because it strips hair and scalp of the natural oils your body needs. We sell online and through hairdressers, utilizing a business model that enables the hairdresser to profit from both online and in-salon sales. Our founding partners have founded and/or run: Bumble and bumble, Jurlique and Natura Brazil, and have a combined 50 years of experience running beauty businesses that generate billions in sales. We were founded in 2015, became profitable within 18 months of launching, and have generated ~$25mm in lifetime revenue. Our balance sheet is healthy, and we have no plans to raise more funding.
