A programmable ball for creative play
Hackaball is a smart rubber ball the size of a softball, which kids can program using an iPhone, iPad or Mac to make their own games with the ball's sensors, colours, noises, vibrations. Drop the ball, it might change colour. Throw the ball at a friend or a wall, and it can make a noise.

Hackaball has been designed for and with active children aged 6 to 12 to bring the best of digital play into the real world.

Kids can do everything they would do with a normal ball - making up new games using their imagination. Hackaball also teaches them the fundamentals of coding whilst getting them up and active, away from screens and playing with friends.

Games made in testing include “Hot Potato” - pass the ball quickly between friends and if it shakes you’re out, and “Hit it up” - keep the ball in the air as long as possible to beat your high score. Hackaball is a fun toy that also teaches creative technology skills. Kids can make their own games, so it’s limited only by their imagination.
