At MOTI, we build smart companions to help you build better habits.

By combining specific insights from behavioral science, social robotics, and human-centered design, we are creating simple yet powerful tools based in emotional engagement rather than just quantification. As human beings, we need more than numbers to delight and motivate us over the long run it takes to form a habit.

Our first product is a social robot that serves as a physical, environmental cue and accountability companion. MOTI offers in-the-moment gratification through lights, sounds, and haptics that evolve and diversify as you get closer to your goal. But watch out - MOTI's might get sad, angry, or encouraging when you haven't done your habit. In this way, MOTI becomes more friend than device, giving the dynamic nudges you need to stay motivated, accountable, and celebrate your progress.
