We want to build a scalable drone platform to serve as a customizable solution for a variety of drone applications. We plan to design a hardware stack that easily integrates peripherals, and an IOT software stack that controls the drone while seamlessly connecting to a phone or computer. Development of our product is currently in the prototyping stage. We have finished preliminary market research, evaluated design tradeoffs, and have selected optimal hardware/software to build a robust platform. Drones are continually getting smaller and cheaper, but there are very few high-quality, easy to use, affordable camera drones. We want to build an autonomous drone that fits in your pocket, has good battery life, houses an exceptional camera, that ANYONE can use out of the box without a learning curve. The drone market is expected to grow from 2 billion in 2016 to 21.5 billion in 2022. Vision: capitalize this rapidly growing market. Drones are next logical step in mobile photography.
