Glimpse Wearables careers
A wearable video camera embedded into a headband, for people who want to live in the moment and create a digital memory. Smartphones have put a camera in everyone's pocket, but that is just the problem. In order to capture the moment they must take it out of their pocket and stare through a screen to get the shot just right. People only have 1 choice; live in the moment, or capture a video of it.
The GlimpseCam allows people to do both. Headbands are comfortable and customized to each unique style. A quick button press captures 10 seconds before and after the click, so users never miss a moment. The footage uploads in real time and is automatically curated into a personal after-movie. People live in the moment, and Gimpse takes care of the rest.
In 2017 Dylan launched the Glimpse’s first product on Kickstarter, a wearable smart glasses attachment. He raised half of his $50,000 goal for Kai and moved to Seattle to start GlimpseCam. While at the University of Washington, Dylan raised $25,000 from Amazon Catalyst and UW, which he used to assemble a team in the SEAL EE Lab. Leveraging his experiences developing new products for Amazon and other local start-ups, Dylan and the team built prototypes, initiated preliminary product testing, and carried out user research.
Dylan met Mike at UW where they worked on several new start-ups together and participated in hackathons and pitch competitions. Mike brings a financial background and has experience organizing teams, creating social media content, and acquiring customers. Mike officially joined in the summer of 2019, where he organized a case study for Capitol Hill Block Party.
