People at hopr
Tom McNamara is an experienced engineer, technologist, and executive with over 35 years of R&D and national security experience. He founded hopr in 2017 after experiencing a series of personal privacy losses from vendor data breaches. Frustrated by the privacy losses, Tom set out to find a way to protect businesses and the data of customers. Add a bit of divine inspiration and the result was the invention of a Password Hopping system and method (Patent #11,151,243), which was repositioned in 2021 from protecting human users (passwords) to protecting non-human users (secrets for machines operating in the cloud). The invention evolved to the Codes Hidden In Plain Sight (CHIPS) we use today. CHIPS is a novel technology that protects critical business services and automates machine identity rotation and hardens API messaging in real-time and across clouds at scale.
