The Geo Web is a set of open protocols with a system of property rights for anchoring digital content to physical land. It’s a persistent augmented reality metaverse that can enable new types of art, games, data, and commerce by swapping atoms for bits in our shared reality.

The Geo Web uses a Harberger tax (aka partial common ownership) system to administer its digital land market in a decentralized, efficient, and egalitarian way. Network funds will be used to reward developers, artists, supporters, and users at the protocol level. This can compound positive network effects and fund the creation of more public goods.

Because the Geo Web is based on our shared planet, we believe it must be democratically governed for/by all inhabitants of Earth. We can’t let the next computing paradigm (AR) be intermediated by for-profit monopolists, innovation-stifling app stores, or networks with concentrated power/profits. The Geo Web will be fair launched and exited to the community in 2021.

Our core infrastructure runs on the Ethereum and IPFS ecosystems.
