Cloud-Based Game Streaming Service
GameStreamer was a game digital distribution platform that tried to challenge the big incumbent in the PC gaming market, Valve's Steam.

GameStreamer raised $10M from Ron Westman in Sarasota, Florida, and competed directly with Steve Perlman's OnLive(Raised $110M) and David Perry's Gaikai(Raised $30M, sold for $380M to Sony).

GameStreamer failed to gain market adoption for multiple reasons:
* It proved too difficult to acquire digital distribution rights to the top games(over $2M capex just for the rights to distribute games).
* Exponential network cost growth to deliver high quality service.
* Not enough product differentiation to convince users to leave Steam.
* Inferior pricing economics. Steam can do sales on games as loss-leaders since they also distribute their own games and thus make significantly higher margins.
