The hard problem we're attempting to solve: The earth is dying, that we know. However, environmental innovation (tech and policy) fails to take hold in the most pollutive industries such as building and construction, agriculture etc. because of complex structural and political barriers to cooperation between three broad groups of key stakeholders: Regulators, Businesses, and Green Innovators. Our thesis is two-fold: first, that switching to metal straws just won't cut it. Second, that these three stakeholder groups need to be brought to the same table/platform and then incentivised through marketplace forces to move together toward cooperative sustainability. Galigo's long-term vision of that platform is a marketplace built around incentivising sustainable behaviour and procurement. A platform in which environmentally sound business is good business. A platform that makes doing good, easy. We're now building toward that vision. It's an enormously difficult task, but someone's gotta do it. Why not you?
