English Language Learners (ELLs) are students who are "in the process of actively acquiring English" and whose "primary language is one other than English, and they are a large and growing population of students in our schools. By 2025, 25 percent of all public school students will be dedicated to ELLs. Unfortunately, these students have difficulty producing speech in English. Gabb Global is a low-cost, immersive, VR-based platform that provides a gateway between the classroom and real-world language learning. Gabb Global's immersive features support ELL students with language acquisition. We provide virtual reality immersion, an intuitive learning management system, natural learning processing tools, real-time feedback loops, and a "pocket parent” – a native speaker in your pocket that guides you through the city. In addition, providing cultural insights in real-time helps students uncover their gift of gab, shattering the classroom's socioeconomic and cultural gaps while providing previously inaccessible experiences to this demographic.
