Since making our first investment in early 2016, Fuel Ventures has grown into one of the most influential seed-stage investors in the UK, supporting some of the UK's fastest growing companies like: OnBuy, Heroes, Volt and Shift. We currently have a portfolio of over 50 EIS and SEIS businesses and we're growing by around 10-15 EIS businesses and 30-40 SEIS businesses every year. We generally write initial tickets of £1m-£2.5m from our EIS fund and up to £150,000 from our SEIS fund, meaning we have the ability to lead rounds with substantial levels of investment. Building a world-beating fund means that we've also had to build a world-beating team. We're currently a team of 18 based in central London. We are happy to support both office work and remote work. Most of our colleagues are currently hybrid and spend a few days a week in the office. We like to get together frequently to encourage a strong team culture.
