Culture overview

At Fortmatic, we do Quarterly and establish OKRs for each quarter to guide the company direction. Our engineering team operates on a one-week Sprint Planning cycle. Each cycle begins with a meeting to discuss what tasks/features we should do and what the estimates are. We split our team into Frontend, Platform and Product. We are a product-driven team, and our engineering teams work closely with product. We've adopted the mindset to move fast and break things. And we embrace agile development. Automated testing is our Swiss army knife and code review is a must. We are consistently improving our processes and procedures to further support our fast-iterating development cycle. We push to production numerous times a day. We hold the same standard to our newhires as we expect them to push to production on their first day.

Every quarter, we will have a company offsite. Most recently, we went to Angel Island for BBQ and an escape room.

Flexible hours

There is no hard rules on the work hours. Our engineers typically get in the office around 10AM and work till 6PM. We not only want employees to stay engaged with the team, but also want them to work based on their schedule.
