Our European Virgin Lump Charcoal is exclusively produced in the Artisan Small Batch Kilns (as it was since the 12th century). This is the only process (small batch kilns) that retains the true essence and flavor of our exclusive Beech Wood feedstock. We source pure European Virgin Forestry cuttings that are 100% ORGANIC; never from the mill industry and never any scrap wood. Our product has premium characteristics that we never spark or pop, extreme low ash, pure high intensity burn that can and has reached over 1600 degrees. Our charcoal is in the lowest moisture range 5­-7% as the industry range is 8­-12% therefore we are extremely easy to light. Our small batch kilns for the woodsy smoke flavors.
