This mobile app allows a user to easily scan the barcode of the product and get a list of all of its ingredients. The ingredient database is built with millions of ingredients. foodscan.org allows the user to vote on the most toxic items and access additional information. With the help of user input, comments and crowd sourcing, foodscan.org hopes to create a community of food conscience and health conscience individuals, in order to expose some of the cryptic renaming and marketing gimmicks employed by the food industry.
