FlyPhone helps catch criminals. We use computer vision to automate the process of searching through surveillance footage so that detectives and security professionals can spend more time working on the case and less time staring at a computer monitor. An officer simply inputs video files and a physical description of the perpetrator and the software returns a file trimmed to only show frames in which a person matching that description is present.

Our software is standalone from existing video management systems making it applicable to police investigations, in which surveillance footage is sourced from the scene of the crime (whether it be a convenience store, local bank or city camera). Our software is trained to identify subjects by clothing or vehicle type, far more advanced that motion detection (the current standard) and less invasive than politically controversial facial recognition. Clothing and vehicle type are the most common eye witness descriptors.
