Jobs at FairwAI
Remote-first. Global. High-stakes work. No tourists. We don’t recruit for roles. We build for consequence. And now, we’re opening the door—just wide enough—for the right minds to step through. FairwAI is not a startup in the conventional sense. It is a compliance-grade system for real-time fairness—designed to operate in environments where trust has been eroded: hospitals, hotels, hiring pipelines, and public infrastructure. We’re not offering perks. We’re offering responsibility. WHO WE NEED This isn’t an internship mill or a vanity fellowship. It’s an operating unit. Each of the roles below ties directly to the infrastructure we’re building. If you need someone else to tell you what to do every day, this isn’t the place for you. 1. Data Analytics Intern – Bias Detection Track You will analyze real-world review data—patient narratives, guest complaints, application feedback—and surface patterns that point to bias, neglect, or systemic failure. You’ll work with NLP and CV teams to transform stories into structured insight. Required: Python, SQL, or spreadsheet mastery. Pattern recognition. Skepticism. Preferred: Experience with risk scoring, service optimization, or compliance reporting. 2. Computer Vision Intern – Behavioral Signal Analysis You’ll work on extracting pose, gesture, and service interaction data from raw footage. Not for advertising. For accountability. Your output will help detect microaggressions and service disparities. Required: Familiarity with OpenPose, MediaPipe, or equivalent tools. Preferred: Experience filtering noise and false positives in real-time environments. 3. NLP Intern – Fairness Auditing via Language Your task: take messy, emotional, high-stakes review content—and classify it without losing its soul. We’re building models that score hospitals and service institutions based on how they treat people, not how they advertise. Required: Precision. Clarity. Maturity. Preferred: Prior exp in hacking, early-stage, public sector
