Faire is being built to change the world––and to do so using the same technology and Internet-based resources people and companies everywhere are using more and more everyday. We are mission-driven top to bottom and are working to make buying ethically sourced products the new global standard. The problem with Fair Trade e-commerce to-date is that the focus is on delivering value to disempowered individuals. We’re inverting that focus. Faire is focused on driving value for you, the consumer; in the process, we empower makers of all sorts of ethically made items around the world. We focus on product first, and byproduct second. For too long this category has been held back by good intentions. Fair Trade is not about charity. Fair Trade is about story telling and community. It is about humanity and origins. It is about a global exchange of ideas, and the currency of culture. Faire is poised to grow, and to make big waves in how we think about, and respond, to the problems of global poverty as everyday consumers.
