Lucid is making a dating app that’s designed like a social network. You can only see people you know, search and view anyone, and use double opt-in matching do avoid rejection.

Connecting with your crush is nearly impossible and it’s because communication is 50k-year-old technology.

We are simplifying dating (and eventually all communication) by matching feelings when they are mutual. Our platform is a neural network of user’s feelings, which creates simplified, transaction-less communication.

Our public beta is being used by 1000 people at Western University - 45% using it every day. It took us awhile to get our 30-day retention above 20%. We tested dozens of features, but recently removed some aspects to perfect the foundation of our app - finding people you know and matching them. Since this most recent update (7 days ago), we’ve grown 20% and it was all organic.
