Jobs at Everyday Bikes

We are capitalising on the opportunity of active transport, to make our city better for everyone. Transport for London, aims for London to be 'the world's best big city for cycling'. Pete, our founder, is a designer educated in London and Copenhagen. At the start of this project he asked, If London was the world's best big city for cycling, what tools, products & services would make it such a great experience? Let's build those today. In the UK, air pollution kills 40,000 people a year. That's far more than Coronavirus. Traffic means the average speed of a bus, car, van or lorry is just 8mph (while a bike is 12mph) – electric cars, don't fix this; autonomous cars don't fix this. Uber admits this. The future of cities isn’t electric cars, it’s active transport. Reports from Public Health England show that our society's dependance on motor vehicles drastically increases cancers, diabetes, heart and lung disease. People who live on busy roads have fewer friends. This all costs the NHS £7bn per year. Active transport, PHE goes on to state, is the real panacea. It is the cornerstone of cleaner, better cities and healthier, happier citizens. It is the key to a future that avoids worsening climate crisis. It could be the making of your career. Everyday Bikes is a collaborative company involving the community, investors and advisors, but it's currently led largely alone, by Pete. We would like to expand this one-man show to a team that handles the technical and operations sides of the company. Co-founders will chosen based on merit, though we would like to become a team that is representative of London. We apply a range of design methodologies to active transport, to create an improved transport experience that Londoners love. It's time for the Victorian Underground to move over. Join us, for the future <3
