Culture and benefits at EnableIT
Culture overview
What we expect from you We expect you to have solid programming experience at CS/University level and some experience with programming in the GO Programming language (from school f.ex.). Enough to pass a simple GO coding task :) We are looking for a colleguage who enjoys learning something new every day. We recognize that the best people know what they do not know and realize the difference between knowing and believing (and hence avoids assuming unknowingly). We prefer that everyone voices their assumptions - and you will always find that your colleagues are eager to assist you with the challenges you face - so you will never be alone. Our way of working remotely and asynchronously We use Kanban as we feel it fits, and work hard to avoid unnecessary rituals. We expect everyone to do actual DevOps — which means also caring about the work a Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) performs, as it is part of everyones task to care about the stability and performance of the customer Kubernetes cluster and its services that we manage in collaboration with them. We focus on meeting in-person once every 6 months.. travel.. last we were in Greece, going to India this time, and once a year we meetup at Fosdem - an Open Source conference in Brussels, Belgium. How we deliver quality services to customers - effectively and reliably as an asynchronous team Being an asynchronous team - means that you'll find more often that you can't just ask a colleague when you need to know something - they may be busy or sleeping :) This means its vital to ensure EVERYONE can clearly see what changes occured on ANY production system at ANY time - without having to ask anyone. We ensure this by following GitOps principles. When EVERY change is done through a proper system configuration tool, you can always see what changes was performed at what time, who did it - and WHY.
