Currently people all over the world are using a mix of prescribed + DIY methods to diagnose and treat themselves or people they support with physical disabilities. We find this extremely inefficient. For example: Two individuals experiencing the same struggle could be neighbors in a city like New York, each with their own and beliefs and different levels of medical access. However, they might never communicate/share information of how their disabilities should be treated or dealt with. I aim to address this asymmetry. A classic case of the prisoners dilemma where communication is still the decisive factor and both parties are better off sharing all their information regardless of varying levels of financial and medical access. This concept could be applied on a global scale. Through the power of the Internet we can now break down social, geographical and communicative barriers overnight. We, at Enabled, see an opportunity to organize a very unorganized industry and at the same time make thousands of lives better through creating a sense of support and community. We are a team of dedicated co-founders with experience across consulting and venture capital. We are supported by a group of highly experienced individuals who will guide and mentor us on this journey. We are looking for creative young minds with a passion for healthcare and crowdfunding! At the moment we are the design stage of our social networking platform.
