Bots Alive builds software for toy makers to create novel play experiences by transforming ordinary toys into autonomous characters that think and act for themselves. In 2016, Bots Alive was awarded an SBIR grant by the National Science Foundation to continue development on its revolutionary technology. Its unique artificial intelligence software provides the ability to navigate a play space, interact with other objects, and organically learn new behavior.

Bots Alive's technology is optimized for mobile devices so users can leverage their smartphones as the toy’s eyes and brain. Without the need for additional hardware, our advanced technology is offered at the most affordable price. Children simply download the smartphone app—designed and marketed for a client’s new toy—place their phone camera-down on a surface above the play space, and watch the toy come to life. With Bots Alive, toys can actually add to the child’s story as continuously evolving play companions.
