eMedi Innovations is a startup in technology and health care that is looking for both part-time and fulltime software developers and lead developers. Within half a year we have built a consumer service, Laakarihinta.fi, that is used by 25 000 users every month. This covers 0,5% of finnish population. The service gives consumers possibility to objectively compare health-care service offerings. We have far-reaching plans about the service but equally we have far-reaching plans about ourselves as a team. We are creating a meritocratic community of experts where quality triumphs quantity. We want to gather bright minds from both technology and health care, give them autonomy and see what happens. We want everybody in the team to be part of whatever successes and failures we encounter and thus in addition to monthly wage everybody involved will be part of an option plan to gain ownership of the enterprise. As said, we aim for quality. Because of this we have to be selective on who we hire. However, we value your thirst to learn new and improving your skills over absolute knowledge on any given technology. Said that we do put an emphasis on having pragmatic approach to software development, theoretical understanding of computer science and quality but no-nonsense mindset towards software engineering. We are not picky on what platforms you have experience on, which technologies you have used in the past or even what domains or projects you have been involved in. We are looking for software developers who understand the laws and principles that are common across the industry and who have a keen and enthusiastic attitude towards their field.
