Why isn't there something like kickstarter but instead of donating money to a project, one simply agrees to be a user? In many ways the true currency of Silicon Valley is users. An apps success is largely measured by it's ability to acquired and retain users. If anyone ever tells you "If you make it, they will come", they have never tried releasing an app before.

So here's my solution. You post your app idea, other people look through a list of ideas and if they like your idea, they agree to become a "pre-user". When the owner of the idea is finally ready to launch their project, they can click a button and everyone who agreed to use their app gets emailed once. We then track the amount of people who have opened the link from the email and provide these metrics to the idea owner.
