Electric Objects is a team of 12 people based in New York City, in an open loft apartment on the Bowery. We treat Electric Objects like a side project, except that we get to work on all the time. We’re artists, performers, singers, painters, and sculptors. Everyone on the team is passionate about art and the creative and distributive potential of the Internet. We’re looking to find people who share our passion for the arts, and our fascination with computers and what they can bring to our culture. Our product is the Electric Objects’ EO1, a digital art display for your home, EO1 is built from the ground up for collecting and displaying a world of digital art in your home. Change the art that appears on EO1 right from your phone using Electric Objects’ website, iOS and Android apps. Collect and display a vast selection of high definition video, photography, animations, and generative art. Explore our hundreds of curated works commissioned exclusively for Electric Objects, in partnership with artists and institutions like Rhizome at The New Museum, The New York Public Library, The Cooper Hewitt Museum, Ghostly, Tumblr and more. And if you’re already a collector or artist, you can easily upload and display your own art. We released our product last year via Kickstarter and were very successful, raising almost $1M. We also recently raised $7M in a Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
