When little Elizabeth starts crying during the night her parents, Anna and John, can’t hear her because they are deaf. No one will help Elizabeth for some hours.

Around 12 o’ clock, their dog Bob barks at a cat seen through the window. Anna and John don’t know what’s happening until their neighbour comes to their home to inform them.

Later in the afternoon, Anna had forgotten a delicious toast in the toaster. After few minutes, the smoke triggers the fire alarm while Anna doesn’t have a clue about it. The incoming fire fighters will shut it down.

This family and millions of deaf people like Anna and John are experiencing these kinds of situations every day. What a change it would be if a deaf person could control and recognize every sound in real time directly in the palm of the hand.
