About the project:

To develop educational mobile XR(AR/VR) simulations based on the theme of Space exploration. For example, why does water float inside a space shuttle and form spherical shape?; or, what will happen if balloons filled with coloured water are exposed to the environment on the surface of the Moon? There are many more exciting space exploration related questions that can be presented in an entertaining and engaging ways using XR to excite students about TEAMS(Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths and Science) subjects.

The long-term vision is to develop collaborative online educational content in XR for students across the world, and to develop digital-twins platform for the education industry.

But why?:

The time is right for this project as many countries are setting-up their own space industry(e.g. in the UK this year the Spaceport in Cornwall will be operational, and also the UK government is one of the major investors in OneWeb; similarly many countries from South America to Middle East are working on their own space programmes). Importantly, many private players such as SpaceX, Blue Origin, Virgin Galactic, OneWeb have entered this industry. There will be a talent crunch, and preparing students for this demand in the space sector and related fields is the mission of this project.
