Edgeless Systems is a venture-backed startup in the space of confidential computing (CC). CC enables the always encrypted and verifiable processing of data. It is a breakthrough technology that will disrupt cloud security and will enable amazing new data-driven business models throughout industries. Forbes already had CC on its "Top 10 Digital Transformation Trends For 2021" list. Our mission is to enable everyone to build super-secure apps at scale. We follow a clean open-source go-to-market - most of our code is on GitHub. We are a tech leader in this exciting and our team is composed of world-class experts (e.g., ex Microsoft). We are headquartered in Bochum ⚒, Germany, a place with a vibrant and striving cybersecurity community. We favor potential over experience. But the latter doesn’t hurt either. We firmly believe in open source and embrace the new. We are fast, agile and cooperative. We are pragmatic. We build the best tech, focus on usability and build for scale. Most of our code is written in Go, runs inside Intel SGX enclaves, communicates via attested gRPC and is scaled with K8s. On the lower levels, some of our code is written in C, C++, Rust, and ASM. From time to time, we also build frontends using Go and TypeScript. Azure is our default cloud, but we sometimes also use GCP. Our code and CI are on GitHub. We use Microsoft 365 for communication etc. We pretty much have everything in the cloud.
