The artificial ventilation of patients suffering from acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS, 70,000 cases/approx. 28,000 deaths p.a. in Germany) has so far been determined by manual trial&error, which demonstrably contributes to the enormous mortality (40%). Our cloud-based software service is the first ever to allow for a personalized, precise prediction of the best possible ventilation settings. Harnessing a combination of medical imaging, artificial intelligence, and mechanical simulation to model the patient's lung, our technology will revolutionize ventilation therapy. This will dramatically improve the situation of ARDS patients. We believe this is but the first step towards a comprehensive platform covering a cornucopia of medical conditions.
