Our electrochromic thin film turns diffusely reflective when switched on. It is the only smart window technology that can retrofit existing windows. Unlike other dynamic window products which are only sold as expensive new window units, ours is a thin film that can be installed on to existing windows from inside a commercial or residential building. According to DOE energy models, our reflective technology is 43% more energy efficient than state of the art absorptive technologies and will be priced 60%-70% less than competing smart windows. We reduce A/C and related CO2 emissions by ~35%. It features wireless power and control, placing windows at the intersection of the "internet of things" (IoT) Smart Buildings and Smart Cities (v2). Our product is transparent when switched off, allowing heat into the building or auto. When switched to fully reflective, it will prevent ~90% of solar heating. In addition to retrofit, we will license to new window and auto glass manufacturers.
