What is a Learning environment? Just as the plant needs water to grow, so do people need books and other forms of further education to grow. At dua.com we found a way to invest a lot in the mindset and self-development of our team. We're still a very young Startup, but try to have the same great mindset that it needs to succeed. So we made a plan and of course are still working on it to implement and improve it: We give our team the time and access to be able to invest in their further education. Daily. So even that we have a 40h working week, we have only 7h for work and 1h for self-development. Wherever and however the team members decide to invest it. We create the environment and give them the daily hour. - 252 working days in 2020. - That's at least 252 hours of self-development. In average 300 pages will take 8.3h to read. So with other words: We invest in the time, so our team can read 30 books a year. We started by giving each new team member the same book, so we all have read at least one book which we all can talk about: "How to build a billion dollar app" We believe that investing in our team will have a great impact for them, the culture and the whole company.
