A dōbook offers three reading levels:
Story - to enjoy a casual read by way of charming adventures.
Pop-up words - to learn the spelling of visual elements within the story.
Facts - to allow everyone to learn educational facts about our world.

Each dōbook contains a puzzle, mini-games, and hidden trophies, as well as a branching system within the story allowing a reader to explore different paths and experience alternate endings.

By also creating an identity in a login screen a child gets included at various points within an adventure and can then help the protagonists with different tasks, while learning interesting and relevant aspects of new and different cultures.
