DJI has 70% market share in the consumer drone space. We’ve done that through innovation, technology, and our own manufacturing facility where we make the drones and(amazing cameras ourselves. The Palo Alto R&D office was specifically created to go after the commercial markets, and developing core technologies that will enable new applications. - Markets: agriculture, search and rescue, industrial inspection, real-estate, public safety, journalism, filmmaking - Technology: sensors, computer vision, intelligence and automation, new vehicle concepts, precision landing, autonomous ground operations, etc. We’ve hired the head of autonomous driving from Tesla and the head of antenna design from Apple to lead this office (see article: bit.ly/1WLOZSV). DJI can make a big impact on the world by reducing time and costs, making jobs safer and flat out saving lives, while building some really cool technology.
