Digital Renovations LLC is a veteran-led company developing human-centered AI systems. Our flagship project, The Veteran’s Companion™, is being designed to help veterans navigate difficult moments and connect with people in their support circle. Its purpose is to strengthen the bridge to human support. It is not being developed as a diagnostic or treatment service.
We are preparing an NIH/NIMH Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I proposal to research and develop an initial prototype. Funding has not been awarded. At this stage, we are bringing together the technical, clinical, and veteran perspectives needed to shape a feasible research plan and evaluate the system carefully.
We value clear communication, sound technical judgment, privacy, and the willingness to challenge an idea when the evidence calls for it. We want people who care about how an AI system behaves in difficult conversations and who understand that a successful system should help people reach other people.
