Decentro is a Y-Combinator backed banking & payments infrastructure company. Decentro provides building blocks that help companies stitch their fintech workflows in a few weeks.
While starting our first fintech venture back in 2014, we spent years convincing banks to partner with us. Before we could launch our fintech product (more here), we had to convince different departments within banks - including technology, business, leadership, legal, and support to get the green signal. Fast forward to today, we realise that banks & regulatory institutions find it difficult to help the longer tail of companies build innovative & compliant fintech solutions.

What if there was a platform (think AWS for cloud or Twilio for messaging) that abstracts the complexities of banking, identity, payments, lending, and provides simple APIs so that companies do not have to spend years dealing with banks?

We’re solving this pain point at Decentro since 2020. We’ve scaled to process $4 billion + in payment volumes & have 700+ customers across India & Singapore in multiple verticals such as marketplaces, banks, regulated institutions, fintechs, lenders, gaming, and more. We are RBI approved online payment aggregator as of 2024.

What is expected from you ?

• Applying machine learning to understand & identify patterns of borrowers.
• Create chat / social tools to help interact with the borrowers and segment their profiles into various segments based on their behaviour for loan recovery.
• Creating risk models that aid banks and other organisations in assessing the possible risk & scoring of the user.
• Helping to create tailored experiences using data & intelligence to enhance the user experience for customers and lenders.
• Strategic data gathering, complicated data infrastructure architecture, engineering, and documentation
• The cohesion of unstructured and semi-structured data using data modeling approaches
• Analysing unstructured and semi-structured data using computer vision and natural language processing (NLP)
• Collaborating with various teams to identify issues and develop data-driven solutions to these issues
• Utilising quantitative analysis to gain insights, transforming them into implementable solutions, and then integrating them successfully (while measuring outcomes)
• Leveraging existing data to train machine learning models and developing prototype systems to test novel ideas

*We are looking for someone who has - *

• Hands-on in development & implementation of solutions on your own.
• Good understanding of the basics & fundamentals of data & analytics.
• Prior experience in writing code on top of unstructured and semi-structured data.
• At least 1-2 years of overall experience. No freshers, please.
• Degree in computer science or equivalent for strong fundamentals.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Shell Scripting.
