We're recently birthed from the startup factory, Y Combinator and ready to take the dating world by storm. Instead of the broken online platform approach that most companies use, we instead are turning the tables - we have part-time staff members who meet all of our members in person, and the technology we are building then allows people to book amazing dates, with the click of a button. No more profiles, or messages, or time wasted online - that's what Facebook and porn are for. About our team: We're a workaholic, highly caffeinated, junk food-powered group of three recent[ish] college grads who started working together full-time on Dating Ring last year. Lauren, our CEO, is obsessed with cats and has been creating communities that bridge the online/offline gap since she was 14 - first with the SNL fansite willforte.net, then the top NYC babysitting company, SmartSitting (always hiring!) and now, Dating Ring. She is an NJ native / Brown 2011 grad where she more or less majored in love. Our CTO Katie studied Computer Science at Brown, where she met Lauren. After working for two years as a Product Manager at Zynga, she left San Francisco and the gaming industry to impact social technology from a new and exciting angle. She's a Westchester native and loves nerdy things like XKCD. Our Chief Happiness Officer, Emma, is pretty much the best person you'll ever meet. She's repping Guilford College and Connecticut, has a background in sex ed and is our resident matchmaker and love scheduler. She is maybe even more obsessed with XKCD than Katie.
