Welcome! Datapane lets you create beautiful reports using code, so you can smash the data backlog and wow stakeholders. Our product makes it easy for companies to adopt the open-source data science ecosystem by providing an end-to-end stack for building internal data-driven reports, dashboards, and applications, which are accessible to everyone but can be customised using Python. Our customers range from e-commerce businesses to F250 companies, and we are also maintainers of the open-source Datapane reporting library, used by 50K+ people each month to build and share data science insights. We take pride in being a small, product-focused team focussed on iteration and experimentation. Above all else, we value product-market-fit and simple solutions, and we aim to get small features out to real users as quickly as possible using Basecamp's Shape Up framework. The team is remote-first, with most of our employees based in UK, and we believe in hiring fewer, better people. Our tech stack is primarily Python and Linux, including many data tools like Apache Arrow and Parquet, and several systems tools such as podman and docker. We also use Django to build our admin interface, and Google Cloud at the infrastructure layer. On the front-end, we use a combination of Vue and TS. Under the hood, the work we do introduces interesting challenges across application lifecycles, containerisation, scalability, front and back-end analytics, including WASM, and large-scale data processing. We try and wrap this up as a simple and delightful product which users love.
